Getting started
To create a new job advert in TalentKoala, hit the blue New Job Advert button in your dashboard.
From there, enter your source data. You can either upload a job description, or you can paste your own notes into the text box below that.
If you haven't got a job description to hand and no notes to work from, you can chat with our AI Chatbot who will walk you through the details we need to create your job advert.
Make sure you're happy with your advert's settings, and then click on write job advert.
Your advert
Your job advert is then created in front of your eyes in about 11 seconds, built in a series of blocks.
You can reorder these blocks on the fly, or if you permanently want to reorder your advert you can do that in the settings area.
From there you're able to add or remove blocks, or edit any of the text in them. You have full control.
Options
You then have a number of options open to you:
1. You can debias your advert to remove any unconscious bias that might exist.
To do this, click on the inclusivity scores at the top left of the advert, and the inclusivity screen opens up. Details on what to do from there are contained here.
2. You can create a complex Boolean string
Click on the purple Boolean icon in the menu bar and TalentKoala will create a Boolean string that you can paste into any CV database.
3. You can create a social media poster.
To help amplify your job advert's reach, TalentKoala will instantly create a poster of the key elements of your job that you can immediately share to your socials. Built in your brand colours, you have total control over the look and feel before posting it online.
4. You can create a detailed interview plan.
This is a huge topic on its own which we cover extensively here, but interview plans can turbocharge any recruitment campaign and maximise the chances of hiring the perfect person. Hit the orange icon in the menu bar, and you'll be able to build out detailed and objective competency based interview plans which add massive value to your clients if you're a recruitment agency, or help you pinpoint the perfect hire easier if you're a direct employer.
To finish...
Regardless of which option you take, once you're happy with your final job advert, hit the copy button and paste the ad into your job board, CRM or ATS.
